Consumer Electronics / Radio Communication / Ham, Amateur Radio / Ham Radio Transceivers
Up for auction here is a nice working HF transceiver from a ham operator who has had to give up his beloved hobby (40 years or so) due to severe medical conditions. My shop at Sacramento Radio Expo has agreed to test the items in his station and then sell for him. This rig is well known to the shop here as it had been in the shop a few years ago for minor tuneup. We tested the rig's receiver and found it to be very sensitive (< 0.13uV for 10 dB S/N ratio) on all bands and out of the bands as well (the receiver is general coverage). The receiver section was very easy to tune a SSB station and there was ample controls to help minimize interference from adjacent signals. The receiver section worked outstandingly on all bands. The transmitter section worked well on all bands also - good crisp audio on SSB and FM modes. The RF output was variable on all bands from about 5W to 90W or so on all bands. Had no problems achieving full RF power output on a couple vintage linear amplifiers (Heathkit SB-200 and Ameritron AL-811H). This is a very basic rig that has been around since about 1988 and is still a great buy even today. The unit is missing the translucent plastic cover for the slide switches in the front. This auction is for the transceiver and the DC power cable only. Nothing else is included. Check my 100% positive feedback over the past 24 years of selling on Ebay and bid with confidence.
