Here is a Studebaker Philco radio circa 1950. This is a 6 volt radio.
I have tested it, and it is NOT working. There is no sound at all. However, I observed all the tubes inside are glowing and the display lights up as shown in the darker photo.
The on/off volume knob appears to work as it should, and the indicator moves across the band when I turn the tuning knob. All but one of the radio presets work and the indicator moves across the band when I press one of the buttons.
Radio has been stored inside of a box in a garage for many years.
